The Conference of First Anniversary of Foundation ICF was held successfully.
About 180 industry officials attended the conference, co-opened by Int’l Certification Body Forum in Korea (ICF) and IRCA, and it was held successfully. This event was conducted which was divided into IRCA Conference and ICF Open Discussion. Mr. Vincent Desmond, a vice-chairman of IRCA and Hyun-gyu Kim, a representative of IRCA Korea explained on International Present Circumstances on Certification Auditor and new Criteria in Auditor Registration in session 1. ICR members, IRCA certificated auditors and certification industry officials showed great interest.
Open discussion, where panel invited from England, Japan and Korea attended, was held in session 2, and the discussion was held on the subject of The Present, Future and Vision of ISO Certification System in about two hours. The fact that most of participants took part in this discussion to the end despite exceeding 30 minutes was reflection of the heated discussion and great interest of participant. Yoo Han-Joo, Prof. of Soongsil Univ. conducted this discussion, and ICF Chairman Jason Moon, the president of our organization, Mr. Vincent Desmond, a vice-chairman of IRCA, Nagunuma, in charge of a president of certification body in Japan and Hyun-gyu Kim, a representative of IRCA Korea participated as a panel.
